Spilldoc Emergency Eyewash Test Gauge

The Spilldoc Emergency Eyewash Test Gauge – SDETG is a purpose-designed inspection tool for checking the water-stream pattern and alignment of emergency eyewash units.

Manufactured from clear, durable material with permanently marked reference guides, the gauge allows safety personnel and maintenance teams to quickly verify that both eyewash streams are correctly positioned for simultaneous flushing of the eyes.

The gauge incorporates clearly defined eyewash stream target areas, dimensional reference markings and both metric and imperial rulers, making it a practical tool for routine workplace inspections, commissioning and preventative maintenance of emergency eyewash equipment.

How to Use

Position the gauge over the operating eyewash water streams. Lower the gauge to no more than 1.5 inches (38 mm) below the peak of the water streams.

When correctly adjusted, the water streams should enter the indicated circular target areas and fill the designated area between the reference lines on the gauge.

This provides a quick visual indication of whether the eyewash spray pattern is correctly positioned for effective flushing.
